About Dr. Ugheoke, M.D.

E. Anthony Ugheoke, M.D., moved to Huntsville in January 2005. He and his wife Vivian, have 3 children: Jennifer, Loren, and Chelsea.  Dr. Ugheoke received his medical degree from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria.  In 1996, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ.  He then completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC in 1999.  Prior to coming to Huntsville, Dr. Ugheoke was in private practice in Rockingham, NC.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology.  Dr. Ugheoke is board-certified in Gastroenterology. He is also a member of the American Gastroenterology Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.  In 2004, he was voted “Physician of the Year” at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham, NC.  Dr. Ugheoke has also written several abstracts and co-authored publications and has received Clinical Fellows Awards for 2 years in a row at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
